An excess is the amount you pay towards the cost of your hospital admission before any benefit is payable.

Medicine prescribed to you by a doctor. You pay a set amount, and we pay a benefit to you. Please refer to your policy document or product sheet for applicable benefits and limits.
If you go to a public hospital for non-emergency treatment you may be charged a facility fee by the hospital.
